What is the Signal Cascade Project?
A "signal cascade" refers to the process by which a series of events signal through a series of receptors until the final regulatory elements are modified in response to the stimuli. This is the mechanism through which genes may be influenced by their environment.
A Signal Cascade allows a relatively minor event to trigger a wide range of highly coordinated responses. Examples would include platelets activating clotting pathways in response to a cut, or a criminal attracting the attention of the State through his crimes.
The aim of the Signal Cascade Project is to build a comprehensive genetic database containing samples of DNA from every American, and eventually every human. We hope to use this information to predict and correct the behavior of citizens by controlling their environment.
